Meet Kiril
Some careers begin in a classroom, others begin in a bakery.
For Kiril Gelsinov MSc , our Technical Sales Manager, it started by helping in his grandfather’s bakery, an early experience that sparked a lifelong interest in baking, food production and the science behind how ingredients perform.
That passion eventually led him to study food engineering and bakery technology at university, where his training combined practical baking with subjects including chemistry, biochemistry, process engineering and manufacturing systems.
From there, Kiril built a career across some of the industry’s best-known food manufacturing businesses, including Hovis, Rich Products and Greencore, alongside specialist roles in bakery innovation, process control, product development and technical support.
Over the years, his experience has ranged from bakery operations and new product development to large-scale manufacturing, commissioning new production facilities and supporting bakery teams across multiple sites.
Today at Wright’s, that combination of practical bakery knowledge and scientific understanding helps support customers across everything from flour performance and troubleshooting to process improvement and quality consistency.
Understanding baking at this level means looking beyond recipes alone. Ingredients, equipment, chemistry, dough behaviour and production processes all influence the final result.
