I just wanted to start off with a few words about a dear friend and colleague of ours, Sue Roper. Sue started working for Wright's in the summer of 2000 - appropriate because her outlook on life was as joyful as a summer breeze on a hot day!  Originally an important member of staff within the office, Sue ran our reception and operated our switchboard for years. Sue had a great giggle and was a very thoughtful person to others.  Her pride and joy were her 2 children, Shelley and Brett, her partner Rob and her naughty little dog "Beanie". 

Because of her cheerful manner, Sue was moved to our busy transport office where she liaised with all our trade customers - she really excelled in this new post.  Unfortunately, last year Sue discovered that she had cancer and after a long and brave battle we are desperately sorry to say that she lost her fight during the middle of February and we all miss her here. Most of us have been touched at some time by somebody close to us or somebody we know who has had this terrible disease.

Stepping out on our "Wright" foot, the directors and staff here at the mill joined up with the local Race for Life and managed to raise £5111.78 with all monies raised going Cancer Research UK in memory of Sue.
