The directors and staff of G.R. Wright & Sons Ltd., flour millers have decided to hold a sponsored walk along a 10 mile stretch of the River Lee from Dobbs Wier to Ponders End Lock. 

This will take place on Sunday 5th September and all proceeds, of which they hope for many thousands of pounds, will go to The Isabel Hospice. 

The walk is in memory of Wright's driver, Danny Nelson who worked (with a smile) for the company for over 33 years.  All at Wright's flour mill are devastated at the loss of such a good, strong man, so young.

Danny was a little poorly after the New Year and at the age of 52 years was sadly lost to cancer just after Easter.   Danny was a real character who will be missed by all at Wright's and their customers alike.

Danny leaves a wonderful widow, Jan a daughter Kay and a son Chris.  If you would like to make a donation to The Isabel Hospice please send this in to G.R.
