The Ultimate Step-By-Step Guide to Creating a Fairy Castle Cake

03 May 2016

Well, it’s the day after May Bank Holiday – many feel it is a bit of drag to get back to work - but for me, I love to get in and sift through the e mails over the last 4 days to see all your beautiful Bank Holiday bakes made with our various mixes.  Thanks to Sandy who absolutely made my day and gave me such super picture to share with you all.

Sandy’s daughter wanted a Fairy Castle cake for her 30th birthday and Sandy decided to surprise her with a funky inside – giving everyone a wow factor when it was cut. Using our Maderia and Chocolate Fudge cake mixes she firstly made 2 x 9” cakes.

Then cut circles out of each one in corresponding sizes, swapping the Chocolate Fudge and Madeira rings and putting a small amount of choc frosting between each ring to hold in place.

Finally putting one back on top of the other and then icing the whole lot & decorating it!   For the towers, good cheats tip here, Swiss rolls were used!

Thanks so much Sandy for sharing such a beautiful cake!  Deb the Bread
