Lots of lovely Scones this month from our superb Scone Mix - thanks Edith for our featured Date & Walnut Scone idea by you - another one I owe you!!

With the wedding cake season certainly upon us now, we have seen some dazzling designs recently but I'm overcrumb with this one (sorry)! Cakes By Linzi made this for an Ayrshire wedding, the tartan fondant was to match the Groom’s kilt and the flowers were as used in the Bride’s bouquet. It’s just beautiful Linzi, who baked this absolutely “Wright” with our Carrot cake mix!
Wonderful Edith – thanks so much for creating this surprise Egyptian cake for your great nephew's 15th birthday, as he loves Ancient Egypt! This was made with Wright’s Chocolate Fudge mix and delightfully decorated with chocolate fingers and sugar sand. I just love the matching cupcakes!
Thanks so much Sarah for tweeting us @Wrightsbaking with "Another cake made using Chocolate Fudge delight this time!" A lovely cake Sarah with Kit-Kat sides, Twirl bites on top and shavings of chocolate too - I doubt if there is any of that 'chocolate overload' left!
I heard from Kevin recently who creates some really ‘crafty recipes’ with our mixes for his blog, The Crafty Larder. Kevin’s Mum recently had a go with our new Scone Mix and Kevin claimed they “were delicious”! Well, they look scrumptious in the images below – thanks to you both!
More scrumptious scones – just plain but served at Sylv’s birthday with jam and cream or Crème fraîche. They went down wonderfully and how do I know? I was there for this one as Sylv is my mum! Happy birthday for last month mum – it was such fun – and your scones were yum!
Hayley commented on our new Scone mix – “How about these? More than the 8 the packet said!!! Yaay!” Thanks Hayley these are really scrummy looking cheese scones created from our mix.
Our Scone Mix makes classic teatime scones, the crumbliest treat that you can enjoy plain, as a sweet and fruity combination or as a savoury alternative baked with cheese. All you need is 320g of scone mix, 130ml water and milk or beaten egg to glaze. Loving Jackie’s home baked scones here - some plain and some with cherries!

Oh this looks lush – none left of course as my friend JJ, took it to her art class. Wright’s Carrot cake mix, smothered in Philadelphia Cream Cheese gently folded with some icing sugar (lovingly licking that fork)! Studded with blueberries, mango and strawberries – now we are suitably smothered and studded – I must go and find something sweet to eat! Lovely one JJ – thanks so much!
Just had to show you Jackies Giant Cupcake creation this month - adorned with homemade spoons and decorated with chocolate buttons and fingers!
Now here is a “Wright” lovely crowd pleaser for the weekend! Sarah tweeted us @Wrightsbaking with this Madeira cake – adorned with chocolate fingers and then laden with lovely Dolly Mixtures! Why not get the kid’s involved with something like this throughout the holidays?
I heard from Amy who “Finally made our Chocolate Fudge Cake!! Lacey wanted chocolate butter icing and smarties on top although she ate most of the topping – thank you”. This is just gorgeous Amy thanks for sharing the pictures of the cake and the lovely Lacey – I think there is a lot of this going on now it is school holidays!
