Information for our
IT'S BRITISH PIE WEEK
03 March 2017
This week is British Pie Week and who can deny that sometimes, on a cold night all you want to do is tuck in to a lovely homemade pie! First up is Chicken Tikka Pasties - we had chicken as our Sunday roast and this is an excellent way of using up any left overs - the pastry is easily made with our brilliant bread mixes!
Still with a little left over chicken on Tuesday ? Then try our Chicken & Mushroom Pie
A marvellous mid week Mediterranean dish for you to enjoy with our Ciabatta Rotunda here.
Why not try a "Skinny Pie"? Made with Wright’s Premium White and weighing in at approx 350 calories per pie! I am sure the Hairy Bikers would be proud as it was them that spurred us into trying these, watching them weigh out the necessary ingredients and then adding oil instead of butter made us think of trying them with our Premium White mix.
Fish on Friday? Our mouthwatering Salmon in Brioche is a "Wright" winner.
Why not round off the week with a fabulous Fruit Pie?
How about this delicious, light, lemony Tarta de Santiago made with our Sungold Pastry Flour? Spanish origins but a great British bake for you to enjoy at home.
And this amazing pie crust again made with our Sungold Pastry Flour of course, is fabulously filled with rhubarb, strawberry in an orange jelly. The Italian meringue is easily made and tops this tart off terrifically!
