Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix

Add to basket

Where to buy >>

Available in Asda, Booths, Morrison's, larger Sainsbury's & Wright's on line - this mix requires only the addition of oil and water. The mix works brilliantly with bread making machines as well as in a 2lb loaf tin in your domestic oven at home or create 12 muffins, 24 cupcakes, bake in an 8" round tin or as a tray bake.

A couple more lovely loaves and clever cakes, all baked with our mixes have come to our attention. Especially this fancy Father’s Day barbeque style cake by member, Linda Cable.  Linda flaunts her fondant here with sausages, burgers, kebabs and drumsticks.  Cute fondant caterpillars and daisy’s adorn the base – such fun and with the ease and convenience of a cake mix, as many of you point out to me, you can spend more time on the decorating!

Thanks Nikki - this is a seasonal spectacular! Wright's Madeira mix infused with rhubarb and ginger - sprinkled with oats!

This will knock your blocks off!  Donna's clever Lego Brick cake made with Wright's Madeira mix.  Donna said "I don't know what I'd do without Wright's".

Alan Deane created a carrot and orange cake with our Carrot cake mix and freshly squeezed orange juice in place of the water. A little zest in the mix and lovely light citrus icing produced this clever cake!  Thanks Alan this is a real taste of the summer.

We had a superb Caribbean Rum Cake submitted to us by Simone who "tried to recreate a cake I can only get from the Caribbean using the Wright's Madeira Cake Mix. I must say it tastes DELICIOUS!". This is using 2 packs of Madeira cake mixes with a rum glaze to pour over it whilst still hot!  For the recipe and to see the finished cake – simply click here.

Now, this is my kind of cake! Chocolate Fudge base with cute pops on the top thanks Freda Whittle for sharing!

Linda said "I love your white bread mix. Here's a loaf and some rolls I made. I liked the Parmesan and Sundried Tomato too, but that was eaten before I could take a photo of it because it smelt soooo nice!"

Tracey proudly presented her Sultana, Toffee & Pecan cake with salted caramel drizzle icing and simply said “I think your toffee mix is my favourite Deb, it's like a comfort blanket”. Well, she had me at salted caramel and with that Toffee Cake Mix - wowee - this is Toffeerrific Tracey - thanks!

And for something completely different – well, I have never seen one like this before – Rosemary’s Marshall's guitar amplifier and guitar!  Formed from our Chocolate Fudge cake mix and decorated like only Rosemary can – I can only assume the recipient was “Wright” delighted with this perfect party piece!

Cherry Blossom Cakes originally found us on Twitter and showed us their Pizza that they made using our Ciabatta mix, and said it “was absolutely gorgeous! The base stays so soft, best pizza I've had in a long time and all homemade! Excellent!

I simply can’t finish without one from Edith – thanks for the fantastic 18th birthday cake image here. There is me concentrating Wright’s Madeira mix on wedding season and there is always a birthday – there’s not always a fabulously fondant covered Madeira cake such as this though!

As you can see, I was very spoilt with lots of Bank Holiday bakes to admire!  Do please keep them coming.
